Each year, Northfield Pride offers a flexible education scholarship to one or more outstanding LGBTQIA+ graduating high school seniors who live within 10 miles of Northfield or attend school in Northfield. Award funds may be used toward any type of post-secondary education, whether that be a 2 or 4 year college, trade school, training courses, or a certificate program. The scholarship amount will range from $1000 to $2000 and payment will be made to the institution or organization.
The Sylvester Huyck Memorial Scholarship is awarded to the applicant or applicants who best demonstrate qualities of leadership, community involvement, and self-reflection.
Applications are due March 20, 2026 and the winner (or winners) will be notified by April 17, 2026. Scholarship recipients will have the option to be recognized publicly for this award or to remain anonymous.
